The Mecca of Swole 2014 SoCal Regional Program
The Southern California Regional is one of the most exciting times of the year for us at CrossFit PB. For one weekend, Fitness becomes Sport, shirts are completely optional, chest hair does not exist and thousands of extremely fit people congregate in Del Mar to talk about burpees, bad snatch jokes, and Fran times.

The Southern California Regional is one of the most exciting times of the year for us at CrossFit PB. For one weekend, Fitness becomes Sport, shirts are completely optional, chest hair does not exist and thousands of extremely fit people congregate in Del Mar to talk about burpees, bad snatch jokes, and Fran times.
CrossFit PB will have two tents set up in tent city. Our logo will be on the tent so you can easily find us. When we actually have it set up we will post the location on Facebook. As in most situations, people from PB are usually pretty easy to spot so if you have any troubles ask some friendly people and they will guide you.

Friday
- 9:00 – All CrossFit PB members gather to chug coffee and prepare for a day of competition
- 9:20 – Event 1 The Mecca of Swole
- 9:40 – Event 1 CrossFit PB
- 10:40 – Event 2/3 The Mecca of Swole
- 11:00 – Event 2/3 CrossFit PB
- 11:30 – Chris Brown and Phillip Craig (Remote athletes that need our love)
- 12:15 – Ryan Fischer and Josh Golden (Remote athletes that need our love)
- 2:10 – Chris Brown and Phillip Craig
- 3:10 – Ryan Fischer and Josh Golden
Saturday
- 6:00 – Party Bus Pregame at CrossFit PB
- 7:00 – Party Bus heads to Del Mar
- 8:00 – Rage
Heat times will be reshuffled throughout the weekend. Please stay tuned to our Facebook page for scoring updates, heat times, and any other information regarding the competition.
Also, as much as vendor village pains my soul, stop by and check out the booths. There are some really awesome companies that do amazing things that will have booths set up. My personal advice is to go around and collect as many free protein bars and recovery drinks as possible. ATP Mechanix is super legit stuff and they sponsor many of our athletes. Virus makes the best spandex in the game and they also are huge supporters of CrossFit PB athletes. RX Jump Ropes, is a great place to get a custom rope and a quick tutorial on double unders.
Most of all have fun. You will literally be surrounded by thousands of people this weekend that do the same workout routine as you. They speak the same language of fitness, understand the importance of protein, and love a good WOD in their day. You can talk CrossFit all weekend and nobody will be annoyed with you (this is why regionals is better than Thanksgiving – just saying)
